Jesus was Tempted - Luke 4:2-4 Opening Thoughts: First of all I want to acknowledge brother David Wilkerson who passed away yesterday April 27, 2011 in a car accident. David Wilkerson has been one of those people that I take very serious. Both my wife Danae and I have expressed on many occasions that this is a man that scares us when he preaches, and when we say scares us we mean it seams as though you are sitting listening to one of the prophets from the Bible. He preached with such conviction it could make a drunk snap out of a drunken stupor. I loved to listen to him, and God through his preaching has impacted my life in a very big way! David Wilkerson will not be a name forgotten around our home. I was reading today in Luke 4:2-4 I'm working my way through Luke's gospel right now and it's words are so powerful. Wishing you could be Accursed?

For I could wish that I myself were cursed - Romans 9:3 Losing A Game on Purpose: Have you ever wished that you could lose a game for the sake of someone else winning? Have you ever played a game and while you were playing it you felt sorry for the opposing player and tried to lose for their sake? I think I have a few times with my son, but no one else! Are you kidding, it's a game the goal is to win, not lose. It's in our nature to win. Have You Ever Wished You Could Take Someone's Sickness? Let's take this up to a more serious level. Have you ever been with someone who is sick, maybe with the flu and you said to yourself "I wish it was me that was sick and not them, I wish I could take that sickness for them?" Have you ever said anything like that? How about seeing someone who is dying of cancer or starving to death or maybe someone who is dying an excruciating death of AIDS, have you ever wished you could trade them places and you were the one dying and not them? Opening Thoughts: Here's our first blog post, Danae and I are launching into some things we feel God is calling us to. Writing daily Blogs on our devotions is one of them. We trust that God will speak to you through the words we say. I do not know where you stand with Christ, so I decided to write this note and pray that the right people read it and are blown away by God's irresistible grace! To God be the glory! Who Is Jesus: Jesus is everything for you, or He is nothing for you.
